The Computer Graphics 70 symposium and exhibition at Brunel University was the biggest ever held at the time on computer graphics.

It was organised by Professor Mike Pitteway and Senior Lecturer Bob Parslow in the Computer Science Department, who thought that computer graphics was the ‘new and up-coming thing’ in the computer world.

Over the three days, 98 papers were presented in four parallel sessions. More than 1,000 delegates attended from 23 different countries, with experts from across the UK and the USA.
